About Me

Inheriting a love of crafts from my Mother, I was designing and making a wide variety of things from an early age. My passion for arts and crafts is diverse and includes hand-crafts such as decoupagé, cross-stitch and embossing.

My own wedding in 2003 was the perfect occasion to showcase my creative flair by handcrafting the stationery and accessories. The compliments received and subsequent commissions turned my hobby into a business and Designs by Daykin was formed.

Born and bred in Lancashire, I now live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire with my husband and son. Working from my home studio, I exhibit at wedding fayres and Bridal Belles wedding boutique in additional to selling nationwide through the internet. I am also commissioned by The Sandpiper Hotel to provide personalised stationery for their wedding package.
